[quotes]Is this what you do every day?[/quotes] If so, you are normal. Like most of us, you are a “creature of habit” and that’s fine.

Several years Duke University researchers published results of a study where they found that more than 40 percent of the actions people performed each day weren’t actual decisions, but habits i.e., routine things that one does regularly.

We all have personal habits that we would like to change, enhance, or even eliminate. It is up to each of us to make the decision to take appropriate action and adjust them for a better lifestyle or to be happier.

What about business habits?

[quotesright]It happens to all of us. [/quotesright] We get comfortable with the way we do things and believe that it may be too much work to change. But is it really?

[quotesright]Be careful: That thinking can be fatal. [/quotesright] If we fail to make necessary changes, the competition passes us by and we see our business decline. Mark Twain aptly stated, “If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.” Some have referred to this as the definition of insanity.

Well, in today’s fast and ever-changing business environment, you need to expand Twain’s quote to: If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got. And, that’s not good enough anymore.

This fast paced, ever-changing high-tech world demands that we be less creatures of habit and more champions of change. However, when introducing change, it is important that we start small and plan. Yes, plan and plan appropriately.

Write it down

[/quotesright] Just consider simple changes to messaging or graphics that will draw in new, different prospects and help you achieve higher click-throughs and increase prospect-to-client conversion rates.

The rest of 2018 and beyond lies ahead, filled with limitless opportunities. [quotes]How will you capitalize on it?[/quotes] What’s your plan to break old, unproductive habits, promote change, grow your business and make success a habit?
